Question: How do you remodel an entire sprinkler system of a fully operational hospital? Answer: Very carefully using the most skilled and specialized fire sprinkler contractor in the southeast
This 18 month, 26 phase project started with the requirement for 3D design coordination to modernize the 3rd floor of a 30 year old hospital. This challenging project included working in a construction environment to install new sprinkler systems, as well as modification in fully operational areas of a hospital. Measures for infection control (ICRA) were required as well as close communication with both the hospital administrators, maintenance, and the general contractor. Because virtually none of the phases overlapped, careful planning was required to ensure no fire protection systems were left out of service for any duration of time.
The project was completed on time, accident and incident free.
